Beginner Package:
- Four Sessions Weekly for 4 consecutive weeks:
- Skating instruction
- Skate Rental included for 4 week session if available
- One time payment of $100
- Requirement: Brand new skater to the sport
Miscellaneous:
- Drop in at $20 per session.
- Family plan available for all options: Pay for two family members and the rest of the family skates free
- Due to contractual ice agreements, there are no refunds
- Due to the annual discount membership there are no refunds for missed days
- Missed days can be made up during any ice sessions other than drop in days
Volunteer and Fundraiser Guidelines
We will have the Wolverine In-Line Marathon again next year and it is expected that everyone volunteer for this morning event.
We also have several jobs that need to be handled throughout the season. If everyone can pitch in, we can have a club that runs smoothly. Please see me with ways you can help.
Skates Rentals:
We have club skates and are able to rent them on a seasonal basis on a first come, first serve basis.
- Rental fee for new skates is $100 per season with a $300 refundable deposit when skates are returned in same condition minus normal wear and tear.
- Blade only rental is $50 per season with a $250 refundable deposit when blades are returned in same condition.
- Per session rental: $2.00 (boots and blades; boots or blades)
- Seasonal rental prerequisite: Must be registered for a Pre-Pay Plan
Additional Dues:
Due to insurance purposes, each skater is now required to have the following dues paid on or before the first session of ice:
- Wolverine Speedskating Membership: $20 Adult, $10 Child, $25 Family (Pay with registration) (US and Canadian Members)
- Michigan Speedskating Association Membership: $10 Youth/ $20 Adult (Pay with registration) (US Members Only)
- US Speedskating Association Membership (US Members Only)(register online at USspeedskating.org): $55 (Individual Membership); $30 (1st year Member); $30 (Coaches, Officials) Provide membership number on first day of skating.
Equipment Needed:
- Bike or hockey helmet
- Shin Guards
- Knee Guards
- Neck Guard
- Gloves
- Sweat Pants or Skin pants or Skin Suit (See Catherine Astalos for information on ordering the team skin suit.)
- Skates (Rentals or please allow 3-4 weeks for new skates ordered through Club at discount)
